Main Causes

 

1. 'Lung' comes from pushing (trying to hard)


2. Concentrating too hard:


a) Forcing a visualization (wanting the visualization to be perfect)

b) Keeping your mind on a mantra or object of meditation for as long as you can for as hard as you can


3. Stopping a meditation session too abruptly or to quickly


4. Disturbance in meditation by an unexpected sound/noise


5. Arising from meditation to quickly

 

6. Engaging in conversation and worldly activities to quickly after a lengthy period of   silent retreat
